About
Apura Fácil is a free Android app that allows citizens to collaborate in the parallel counting of the Municipal Elections of October 2, 2016. By capturing data from the polling stations, users can check the result collected by themselves and the results of the municipalities where the data was captured beforehand through the app.
The app scans the QR Code present in the Ballot Reports, a document issued by the president of the electoral section immediately after the end of the vote, and displayed in a visible location for public consultation. With the participation of citizens, the app contributes to the scrutiny and transparency of the election results.
Instructions are provided on how to capture the QR Code and view the election results. The captured data can be sent to the server even if the connection is slow or interrupted. The app also allows users to check the status of the captures and provides the option to search for a specific city.
