The "COVID Certificate" app is the official app for storing and presenting Swiss COVID certificates. Developed by the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication FOITT on behalf of the Federal Office of Public Health, this app allows individuals in Switzerland who have been vaccinated, tested negative, or recovered from COVID to apply for a COVID certificate.
With the app, users can select and present their COVID certificates, showing the time of vaccination or test and how long ago it occurred. Multiple certificates can be stored, making it convenient for families or individuals with multiple test certificates. The app emphasizes data protection, storing certificate data solely on the mobile device and ensuring certificates are forgery-proof.
The use of the COVID Certificate app is voluntary, free of charge, and limited to Switzerland under Swiss law.
