Add-On - SMS Backup & Restore is a compatible app for older versions of the main app - SMSBackupRestore, but not for Android 5.0 or newer. It allows users to automatically upload their SMS backups to Google Drive and Dropbox. It also enables them to send automated emails after a backup. This app does not appear in the list of apps on the phone launcher and is opened from the "Backup Settings" screen of the main app. For Google Drive, it may not work on all devices if Google Play Services are not available. The app has limited access to its own folder on Dropbox and offers the option to use the default/external browser for authentication. The email settings are customizable depending on the chosen mail service provider. The app requires access to network communication, accounts, and network connections.
