About
"Who's Calling?" is an Android app that reads the name of the calling party for incoming phone calls, as well as the sender's name for received messages. It supports phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp, and other custom apps like Facebook Messenger. The app uses the default Text-To-Speech engine and language pack, and allows you to configure the format of the spoken caller ID. You can also disable certain contacts or define a custom name for them. The speech volume can be adjusted relative to the ring tone volume, and the app offers a test mode to simulate incoming calls and messages. Additionally, you can mute the speech by flipping the phone and configure the number of times the caller ID is repeated. For hands-free use, the app can be set to only alert when connected to Bluetooth. Please note that, in hands-free mode, the caller name will still be read out by the smartphone speakers.
