The Pokémon Go Bug Out Event is back! The event period is scheduled from Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. The Bug Out Event will include new Pokemon and additional in-game items, such as rewards, bonuses, and more.
Pokémon Debuts
Grubbin, Charjabug, and Vikavolt will debut in Pokémon during the Bug Out event. Please note that trainers can use 25 Grubbin Candy to evolve Grubbin into Charjabug, and 100 Grubbin Candy to evolve Charjabug into Vikavolt.
If you are lucky, you will also have a chance to encounter Shiny Venipede in the wild for the first time in Pokémon Go. In addition to the Pokemon mentioned above, Mega Scizors will make its first debut in Mega Raids and Genesect with a Chill Drive will firstly appear in five-star raids!
New Collection Challenge
The event also includes a new collection challenge, which allows trainers to collect bug-type Pokémon. Those who complete the mission will receive the Bug Catcher Pose and 15,000 XP.

Bonuses
When you catch a Pokémon with Nice Throws, Great Throws, and Excellent Throws, you will be rewarded with 2x XP.
When you work together with two or more trainers in an in-person raid battle, a bug-type Pokémon will appear for 15 minutes in a 300-meter radius around the Gym that hosted the raid.
