ViewRanger, now known as Outdooractive, is a mapping app that allows users to access maps, tracks, routes, and points of interest for outdoor activities. The app is being discontinued and users are encouraged to switch to the Outdooractive app instead. Existing ViewRanger users can easily transfer their data to the new app. One-off payments made for accessing maps in ViewRanger will be compensated with free access to a set of maps in Outdooractive, depending on the region. Current ViewRanger subscribers will have an Outdooractive Pro subscription that will expire simultaneously with their ViewRanger subscription. The app also offers compatibility with OS Wear enabled smartwatches for convenient trail navigation and track recording. Some features require an internet connection.
