About
MWS: NIMC Personal ID is an app developed by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to provide citizens and legal residents with a secure digital identity. With this app, users can verify their identity, as well as the identity of others, by entering their 11-digit National Identification Number (NIN) and setting a PIN. The app uses state-of-the-art end-to-end encryption to protect user information. In the future, NIMC plans to issue Mobile Driver's Licenses, Digital Tax Clearance Certificates, Departure Cards, and electronic health cards that are compliant with international standards. A portal is also available for users to check or print verifications and self-print their NIN Slip. Stay tuned for more announcements from the NIMC regarding the improved NIN Slip and MobileID.
