With the Messaging app, Android users can now enjoy the stock Android 4.4 (KitKat) messaging experience on their devices running Android 4.1+ (Jelly Bean) or Android 5.0 (Lollipop). This app, originally available only on Google Play Edition or Nexus devices, brings back the classic functionality and Google design to all Android users. It is especially useful for those whose phones come with brand specific messaging apps, or for Nexus 5 users who miss the original Messaging app. Maintained by SoftCoil Development, this re-compiled version aims to improve the messaging experience for the community. Please report any issues for quick resolution. Note: MMS may not work on some 4.2 devices due to an OS bug, but solutions are being worked on.
