WarnWetter is the official app of the DWD National Meteorological Service of Germany. It provides the current warning situation for Germany at a municipal level, detailed information on the warning situation, and configurable warning elements and levels. Users can set up favorites for on-site and selected locations, and receive configurable alarm notifications. The app also offers features such as social media sharing, warnings about natural hazards, predicted trajectories of thunderstorm cells, coast and lake warnings, video information for severe weather situations, and customizable widgets. Users can upgrade to the full version via in-app purchase to access additional features like a map function, precipitation differentiation, cloud and lightning data, wind and temperature forecasts, and more. Other features include text reports, forest fire hazards, thunderstorm monitoring, road weather information, and user reports of observations.
